What's Included?
We're an independent broker without any obligation to any particular car rental firm, so we're on your side every time. Quite simply, our goal is to find you the best possible price from a genuinely reputable car rental company.
All of our quotations include:
3rd Party Insurance
Full 3rd Party Insurance is included in all of our quotations, which means that in the event of an accident, the other vehicle, its occupants and any passengers in your rental vehicle are fully covered. Oh and all 3rd party property (garden walls, fences, etc.) is covered as well.
The driver of the rental vehicle is excluded from 3rd Party Insurance and cannot claim personal injury. Our advice is to check your own personal travel insurance policy. Or if you're not going to be behind the wheel, make sure all drivers are covered by their own travel insurance.
Limited Vehicle Damage Costs (to a certain amount)
All of our quotations include what the jargon-filled car rental industry call, Collision Damage Waiver or CDW. This means that if your rental vehicle gets damaged you'll only have to pay a certain amount of the repair costs and anything above that is covered by insurance.
For example, let's say that your booking document states that a CDW Excess of €400 is included in your reservation. Your rental car gets damaged and it's going to cost €1,000 to get it fixed - your CDW Excess means that you pay no more than €400 of the repair costs.
This 'limited amount' is called the insurance excess and can range from around €200 to well over €3,000 depending on the car rental company and the type of vehicle. You can check out the full details of the applicable insurance excess on the terms and conditions of your quotation.
You can actually reduce this 'excess' amount to zero. Simply buy our Insurance Excess product (for just UK£5.50 per day) on the 'Booking' page and you won't have to pay any repair costs at all.
Theft Protection
All car hire booked through us includes full Theft Protection (again, car rental firms complicate matters by calling it Theft Waiver) insurance. This means that you won't be liable for any damage to your rental vehicle if it gets stolen.
It's worth remembering that Theft Protection doesn't apply to any personal stuff that you may have left in the vehicle.
Loss Damage Cover (to a fixed amount)
Loss Damage Cover (otherwise known as Loss Damage Waiver - LDW) relates to car hire in the USA and Canada and is similar to "Collision Damage Waiver" as explained above.
The Loss Damage Cover supplied by us is based on the minimum financial coverage required for each state, however, Nova rates for the USA and Canada do include an extended protection. What this really means is that all Nova bookings made for the USA and Canada provide insurance for up to $1,000,000.
All Taxes (VAT, GST)
Our rates include any Country and State taxes such as VAT, GST, Federal and State Taxes that are applicable to car rental.
Our prices don't include environment or fuel taxes (where applicable) or Nominal Road Fund Tax, which is charged in some countries.
For example, in the USA there is a fuel emissions charge that is calculated for every rental period. This isn't a Nova fee though; it goes straight to the government.
Unlimited Mileage
All car hire booked through us includes unlimited mileage/kilometres, except for rentals in Australia and South Africa where maximum mileage/kilometres may apply. Check out the full details of your unlimited mileage on the terms and conditions of your quotation.
Price Guarantee
We don't make silly claims about always having the lowest car hire rates - although we do have the best overall value for money rates.
In fact, we encourage you to compare our prices before booking with us. However, it's worth noting that some companies will quote you a price that seems to be low at first sight but this can be because they don't include compulsory charges such as airport and location surcharges, local taxes, insurance and so on. And you may find that several rental firms will try to hide their maximum mileage limits as well, so do keep this in mind when you're doing a price comparison.
